While the first ‘Skipper Morgan’ (a Welsh privateer, Sir Henry Morgan, who worked in the Caribbean) might not have made rum, his namesake has presently known the world over.

Their Flavored Gold variant is the lead drink in the Captain Morgan Gold range and has for some time been seen ‘cruising the oceans.

While this isn’t ‘in fact’ a rum (rum requirements to have a liquor level of 37.5% or higher), it’s made with a mix of Caribbean rums which are enhanced with vanilla and cassia. This guarantees it’s connected to the first Commander Morgan!
